Introducing Dering Hall

I am pleased to announce that Dering Hall is officially up and running!

Dering Hall is an online source for custom furniture and antiques for purchase direct from interior designers, architects, artisans, and design dealers.

It is a lot like 1st dibs, but with the added bonus of being able to buy custom pieces straight from interior designers who do not have an actual storefront, but instead have an online storefront via Dering Hall. You can narrow your search by category or by choosing to search only items from the designers you are "following".

Currently I am following...
Amanda Nisbet, Steven Gambrel, Tamara Magel, HB Home, Michelle Nussbaumer, Foley and Cox, Suzanne Rheinstein, Magni Home, Celerie Kemble, Madeline Stuart, Tucker and Marks, Interieurs, Hollywood at Home, Remains Lighting, Jean de Merry, Victoria Hagan, Anthony Todd, and many more.

Above are some of the online storefronts  of three great designers involved in Dering Hall.

Check out a few of the exquisite items available on Dering Hall at the moment...

Gold Leaf Table from Amanda Nisbet

Alligator Bench from Celerie Kemble...um, what a fun piece for a little boy's room!

See something you like, but what it in a different color or need a specific size? Not to worry, since most of the pieces were designed by the interior designers themselves, they can be custom made to your needs. All you have to do is contact the designer directly through the website, and tell them what you want. Basically, Dering Hall gives you access to some of the best names in interior design, without having to hire them to decorate your entire home...very cool!

Italian Inspiration: Masquerade

While I was in italy I did a little shopping here and there. One of the items on my shopping list was a mask for my date to wear to the Masquerade Ball we are attending in Chicago this Friday. (I of course, already own one from my trip to New Orleans for a friend's bachelorette weekend)

Yummy mask stores in Florence and Venice...

My mask, and two options for my date

man I wish I had found this one when I was in Italy

Different. I'm liking the patina

Basic, but sweet

love the volume!

yummy colors

diamonds are always a girl's best friend

It amazes me how a mask alone can immediately complete a costume and exude such mystery and intrigue...
