Bedtime

Last weekend I packed up my entire Living Room in preparation of my big move at the end of this month. This weekend I am tackling my bedroom. Packing and throwing out stuff I have hoarded over the past 6 years is emotionally and physically exhausting! The one thing that keeps me motivated is the new design I am working on for my new apartment. Did I mention, I still don't know where I am going to even live yet...oh yeah, small omission on my part.

Wherever I end up, the first thing on my wish list is a new headboard! Here are a few headboard designs I am considering. Which is your favorite?

Reflection

I found myself at one of my favorite places in NYC, The Strand Bookstore. I love all of their used and limited edition books, but this weekend I found myself thumbing through the pages of my favorite author as a child, Shel Silverstein. It amazed me how each one of his poems had a message that I could relate to. You might even say he is the Adele version of children's authors.

Here was one of my favorite poems from his new book, " Every Thing On It"

Dinner Party Tablescape

Last night I enjoyed a imprompt to dinner party on the newly renovated roof deck of my building. It was so nice to be with old friends and to meet new and fascinating people. The meal was prepared by my friend Margaret's boyfriend who happens to be a master in the kitchen. I love dinner parties, but as a novice in the kitchen I am 100% aware that the only card I bring to the dinner party table is setting the table.

Here is a little tablescape I put together with my favorite color, emerald green. The scheme is a little too she-she for a rooftop BBQ in the West Village, but I still love it all the same. Maybe my neighbor SJP will ask me to style her next fundraiser...
